Hello all,
Welcome to my dusted and de-cobwebbed blog! (It's been a few months. I blame finals, and the fact that I do have a life outside of blogging.) While I usually use this space to rant about political events that irk me, I've temporarily renovated to instead post updates on my upcoming study in Botswana!
If you'd like to read about political events that irk me, scroll down a bit to older posts. Warning: I'm a quasi-socialist. You may be offended. Just sayin'.
I'm not sure at this point how often I'll be able/willing to post, depending on whether or not I bring my own laptop, but I'll do my best to update at least once per week.
To clarify the title: I posted an explanation on this when I first started, but I don't expect any of y'all to scroll back that far. The title of my blog is taken from a poem by Rumi, which reads:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I'll meet you there.
I encourage all of you to comment on future or past posts, even (or especially!) just to argue with me- when I'm not being obnoxiously intellectual, I'm not all that bad to talk to.
